Thank you Paul for another forgotten tale featuring a couple of my favorite sinners. Maybe this stunt inspired the guys to just "plug in and turn on the tape machine", and write and record Some Girls.
Springsteen honest-to-God did that with his Seeger Sessions album, but hasn't done it with a rock album. I wish he would. (He always says most of Born in the USA was done that way, but after how many takes??! They were recording the damn thing for close to three years!!)
