I remember an old Rolling Stone interview from the 70s where Michael Jackson finds out the writer has a video of that James Brown performance I posted, and he stops everything to watch it, mesmerized. He had heard about it, but had never seen it before.
I saw James Brown at the Apollo Theater with my high school band in 1966. Driving in fron the suburbs, we were the only white kids, or white people, in the audience. It was super friendly, and I'd never seen anything quite like what I saw that night. Our manager insisted we see some real show business. That was James!
Michael Jackson and Prince should have given James Brown a percentage of the gate for every concert they ever played.

Paul,
Wow.
James Brown… umm… explosive!
Just a quick take-
I closed my eyes 10 seconds into the groove of that trombone solo and off I went. I think I opened them about 20 light years later.
That should be played before every sporting event instead of the national anthem. Hell, just make it the national anthem!
We'd all have boundless energy.
More… later.
