Thank you. I have been lamenting the loss of the rock and roll flute for years without even realizing I'd also been missing the squeeze box. I suppose we have Mr Moog to thank for all that.

Drum machines, in my opinion, are in the ballpark of pure evil. I don't know how any drummers fed their families in the 80s, outside of Max Weinberg, and even Bruce started using those goddamn machines after a while.

I’ve loved Faces and Ronnie Lane for so long, but again, you’ve told the true story behind the impression and enhanced my understanding and experience exponentially. Love you for it.

Wow. I’d never even HEARD of Anymore for Anymore. I don’t like Rough Mix as much as you, but Lane’s songs are sweet and well crafted.

So what’s the origin of “Plonk”?

I've read repeatedly that it was the sound he made when he was learning to play the guitar.

I listened and I liked it. Peggy Lee could have sung that as a companion piece to "Is That All There Is!"

Thank you so much for introducing me to Ronnie Lane! His songs kinda make me cry. I'm going to listen to that entire album...Anymore for Anymore. And the other album, too. Weirdly enough, I wrote a song called "Anymore," but I don't imagine you have time or inclination to listen. Here's the link, though: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bjd4YPnpVfE
